Quick tips: Using round rugs for decorating

Although rugs are available in shapes other than the common rectangle, we rarely ever see them. For a break from the ordinary, you may want to round out your decor with something new. Here are a few tips for decorating with round rugs.

Round Furniture - Round sofa tables, dining tables or coffee tables pair easily with round rugs. Rather than trying to fit a square peg in a round hole, try usings a circle to support a circle. Likewise, circular shaped furniture deserves to be featured with a round rug.

Defining a Space - To define a specific space or sitting area, use a round rug. Even if you have a rectangular rug in another part of the room, the rug will help to set the space apart. Placing your furniture in a circular configuration can easily be bolstered by a round rug. Rugs with intricate patterns and colors work very well to identify the space as unique.
