Oscar Fashion Meets Rug Fashion

Jennifer Lawrence, Angelina Jolie, Kate Hudson and Sandra Bullock on the red carpet
A trip down the red carpet with our take on Oscar fashion and how we can't help but see gorgeous home decor in some of the loveliest haute couture.

Here's what we think when someone says red carpet.

Even during the Oscar ceremony with all of the glitz and fanfare, we still can't help but compare the gorgeous red carpet fashion to even more stunning floor decor, even if it isn't red.

Best Actress Oscar winner Cate Blanchett in a stunning Armani Prive gown reminds us of a contemporary beauty in the Surya Banshee collection. Great designers think alike.

Twice nominated actress and singer Bette Midler stunned the red carpet with her very flattering Reem Acra gown. We immediately thought of the MA Trading Leaf collection in red and gray. Both pieces are bold and breathtaking. Bravo Divine Miss M.

Often it is the most simple, classy styles that are the most elegant. Best Supporting Actress winner Lupita Nyong'o wore a plunging neckline blue Prada gown and with a glittering headband and seemed to resemble a prima ballerina. The Rizzy Rugs Platoon collection is a perfect pair with same simple, elegant, light blue beauty.

Oscar nominated actress Julia Roberts showed her red carpet prowess in this sophisticated lace Givenchy gown. The classic black and intricate design made us take notice, particularly since we immediately thought of this contemporary black and gray rug from the Nourison 2000 collection.

What a beautiful night for red carpets everywhere.
