Archive Rugs from the Surya Smithsonian Collection

Surya Archive Collection in Brown and Ivory

The Archive Collection from Surya is a beautiful hand woven flat weave constructed rug that is a definite highlight of the Smithsonian Collection. Surya collaborated with the Smithsonian institution to design rugs that emulate historical art and artifacts found within the Smithsonian museums. The design of the Archive collection was created by architect Owen Jones based on the The Grammar of the Chinese Ornament in the Institution's Special Collections.

The brown and ivory color combination is pictured above, but the variety of colors fit almost any decor choice from the bold brick to the the muted sky (all colors pictured below).
